FAQ – Reservations

How many people can I have per campsite?
There is a maximum of 4 adults per campsite. 2 adults and 3 children is permitted. You can add a maximum of 1 adult per campsite for an extra $5.00 per night.

What is the reservation deposit?
When you make the reservation, a deposit is required in order to secure the site ($30.00 for campsites, $50.00 for rentals, or total for a 1 night stay). This amount is not added to your balance, but it is applied toward it. If you cancel your reservation prior to 10 days before your expected arrival date, your deposit minus a $10.00 processing and administrative fee will be reimbursed. If you cancel your reservation within 10 days before your expected arrival day, the deposit will be forfeited.

How do I make a reservation at Hickory Oaks Campground?
The most convenient way of making a reservation is by filling out the reservation form request on this website. We will respond shortly to confirm your reservation. Another way of making a reservation is to contact us by phone (920-235-8076) or via email.

How do I reserve the pavilion if I want to organize a small event?
The pavilion can be rented for small events. Contact us for more information.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Campsites: Check-out is before 1:00 p.m., check-in is after 1:00 p.m. and generally no later than 9:00 p.m.
Rentals: Check-out is before 12:00 p.m., check-in is after 3:00 p.m.

What happens if I cancel my reservation?
If you cancel prior to 7 days (prior to 15 days, if during special events) to your arrival date, a $15 campsite fee or a $20 cabin fee will be charged from your account, but you will be reimbursed your reservation deposit.
If you cancel within the 7 days preceding (or within the 15 days preceding) your expected arrival date, your reservation deposit will be forfeited.
There is no reimbursement if you cancel, once you have checked-in.
We understand that it is sometimes necessary for campers to cancel a reservation, or leave earlier than the planned departure date, however the campsite that was reserved for you was made unavailable for others. Therefore, Hickory Oaks Campground is not bound to deliver reimbursement.

How much is the fee for a grey/black water pump out?
A portable pumper will provide this service at your campsite for an $20.00 fee. Using the dumping station is free of charge for campers.

How much is it if I want to add a fifth adult to my reservation?
It costs $6.00 per night per person.

How much is it if I want to use the dumping station and I am not a camper at Hickory Oaks Campground?
A $20.00 fee will be required for using the dumping station, if you are not camping at HOC.

How much does it cost to reserve the pavilion if I want to organize a small event?

Are the prices given tax-included or before tax?
Taxes are not included in most prices given on this web site. An additional 5% tax will be applied.

Are there different rates depending on the period of the reservation?

Is there a fee for using the Wi-Fi internet access?
No, it is free.
FAQ – Campground Information

Do you have 50 amp service?
Yes, we have 50, 30 and 20 amp Water and Electric sites.

Are there wooded areas where sites are secluded and are most of the time in the shade?
We have plenty of such tent sites, plus approximately 10 hook-up sites that are at least partially shaded.

Is pump-out service for grey and black water available?
Yes, a portable pumper will take care of that in exchange of an $10.00 fee.

Do you have rental units at Hickory Oaks Campground?
Yes, 2 cabinettes are available for rent. A third, “cottage cabin” will be available in the near future. Click here for more information on the rental units, and here for the renting rates. We also have a pavilion that can be rented for small events. Contact us for more information on how to rent the pavilion for an event.

Do you have pull through campsites that allow me to drive into the campsite with my RV, and leave it without having to back out?
Yes we have three convenient pull-through campsites to accommodate larger motor homes.

Do you sell firewood?
Yes we do.

In case we want to swim in the lake, is there a convenient, safe and easy access in the water?
Yes, there is a sandy beach that makes for easy access to the designated swimming area. The lake is safe (off the designated beach area) to swim in and cool off during hot summer days. Please refer to rules and regulations regarding swimming at Hickory Oaks.
